Hummus

This is my personal recipe so please forgive the approximations of spices. I always add them to taste and never in set amounts. Vary the spice amounts to suit your own taste.
2 cans Chickpeas
Juice of one lemon
1 clove garlic
Approximately 2 Tablespoons of ground cumin
Approximately 1 Tablespoon ground coriander
Approximately two Tablespoons of ground toasted sesame seeds (or Tahini paste)
1 Tablespoon paprika
1 Tablespoon Turmeric
A few squirts of Sriracha red hot chili paste (Rooster sauce) or some Lousiana hot sauce (feel free to leave out if you do not like it hot and spicy)
Fresh parsley however much you like. I like a lot.
Two Tablespoons ground flax seed because fiber is our friend
Salt and black pepper a pinch or two
Zurp (my word for using the processor) all of this up in a food processor adding to desired consistency: olive oil for authentic version and water for low calorie version. I use both for a good tasting semi low calorie version.
Hummus is great in roll up wraps with your favorite veggies or served as a dip with Mazto, pita, flat bread, crackers , bread or toast. Use your imagination and post what you did to make it your own.
