I have just been reading a passage from Quaker Strongholds by Caroline Emelia Stephen that describes my spiritual awakening so intently I got goosebumps reading this line :
" ...It is as if my painted roof had been smashed, and instead of the darkness I had dreaded, I had found the stars shining."
