Uplifting article in the NYT about service dogs being trained by prison inmates. The dogs are all labs or retrievers, and go on to assist either the disabled or, increasingly, Iraq war vets. Remember the adorable toy poodle spotted with Gossip Girl star Blake Lively?

Well, it's the return of curly, now with a name: Penny. Her fur looks a little frizzy on top, but hey, it's cold out, the air is dry. My hair is not at its best either. I love this curly fluffy pup.
