I had an interview last week...
I interviewed for a teacher's aide job at MacArthur High School. The interview went really well, and I'm excited about it because I just might score myself a full-time job at $9.15 an hour. More than I've ever made before. I've also never had a full-time job before... and its been a long time since I've had to wake up before 7am regularly, so I'm a little nervous aboot that. The job will be from 8am to 4:30pm.
I'm pretty confident that I got the job, even though I have 7 people competing for it. The interviewers seemed really impressed by my credentials and my experience. When I told them I graduated with honors, one of the ladies said "I'll bet you did!" Hehe. There are also 2 jobs, technically: one of them works with the ALE kids in wheelchairs and severe retardation, that sort of thing, and pays more. The other one works with the emotional behavior problem kids, which is the job I want, at least for right now.
So, here's hoping I hear good news by the end of the week.
