I think Sylar not only eats the power that its attributed to, but makes himself BETTER at it somehow. Like his telekinesis was WAY better than Brian Davis (unless Davis was just out of practice or something).
You're right about Hiro. I forgot he called himself at work... but that wasn't even the part that bugged me lol.
For some reason, I never considered that his time travel had a time limit. That would definitely explain why Hiro disappeared, and showed up back in the present--maybe near the same spot?
I figured the reason that Hiro came back from the future for so brief a time and gave that cryptic message was not necessarily for time limit, but so he didn't cause a paradox--giving the WHOLE story might create one, but a cryptic message would be just enough to get Peter where he needs to be. But you could be right too.
As for Niki's sister Jessica, I'm thinking Jessica had the super power to be incredibly strong. Maybe? Well, I like it ^_^;
Sylar eats brains. At least that explains the trail of empty skulls he's left behind throughout the season. It might sound odd, but I think he can sense what is wrong with any given person or object and find that one thing that's different. That's how he can fix watches so easily. He can also sense the powers of others, that thing in their brain that makes them different. Seems he also has the ability to eat that thing and gain whatever power it's attributed to.
I think his power is to see what's "broken" in you.
Now, Sylar's crossed the path of several other supers, heck, he sat in the damn restaruant with Hiro.
He killed/brained the waitress with the blood clot in her brain. Why her? Why not Hiro? Hiro doesn't have a problem. We know that Sylar was in NY, and didn't go after Nathan or Peter.
What does it say that Sylar was going after Clair? Is Clair's power going to kill her? Does she have some other medical condition?

What would happen if Sylar meets Niki/Jessica?

I agree about Sylar... I get it now.
And I'm curious about Clair too... wonder what it is that's wrong with her.
