I know, I never make time for an update.
Think of it this way: I'm too gorram busy reading all your LJ posts to make my own! Put in a more tactful way, I actually enjoy reading what everyone's up to these days. I just wish I'd make more time to add a thing here or there about m'self.
So here it is. A slight chunk of the morning right before I go to class in which I have my own little space of time.
I currently have no truck. Ol' Blue is in the shop, some kind of transmission problem that'll cost 1100 bucks (gah), meaning my poor parents have to drive me to and from work and school. It's a pain, but more for them than me. To get to my tabletop games now, I'll have to ask for rides. No clue when I get my truck back... hopefully by tomorrow or Wednesday, since I may have to drive it up to Austin this weekend and help
daymorn move.
I'm hoping to make it to
mayor_anime and
queen_beryl's wedding, but it all sort of depends on the situation with
daymorn. Shit sucks for him right now, since his motherboard went phhzzzt, and unless he can trick it into working tonight, he may have to get a new one. Since we're both barely making by right now with bills, gas and all the other expenses, there's a chance we might not be able to afford to go. As it is, we're just driving there and back in one straight shot, no resting or sleeping as far as I know, unless we can somehow arrange a crash place at
mayor_anime and
queen_beryl's current home. He has work on Monday, but I don't have classes, so we'll see what happens.
daymorn might also get a better job up in Little Rock that he just applied for.
And my final exams start in a week and a half. Whoa... I still have a lot of crap to read. Still, it's so close I can taste it! I've discovered that I will in fact graduate in a year, which I'm grateful for, and I even have a final course plan set up where I'm tutoring in the Writing Center next semester, and taking an internship in the fall--some kind of editor position. Looks like I'll be set up to find an editing job somewhere, either in Texas or Arkansas (or wherever I can get it, if I find a really good position with a fiction/graphic novel producer or something). So exciting... w00t!
