I'm sure I'm not the only one who has seen the "Writer's Block" suggestions that pop up when you log on. I've always wanted to write about some of the ones that I've seen, but I never wanted to just put them on that one page for all to see. Course, I'm not sure if they automatically post it onto your page when you reply but...whatever.
Anyway, I decided to do something about my chronic "no-updates-for-a-month-at-a-time" habit and try something a bit different. I'll be the first to admit that I tend to have writer's block when it comes to updating my livejournal, so I'll use the "Writer's Block" suggestions to help deal with my writer's block that prevents me from writing (I just had to write a sentence like that). So, without further ado...
Today's suggestion was: Try to describe yourself in one sentence
"I am a fiercly loyal yet slighly obsessive theatre geek who loves reading and singing and watching awesome shows like Gilmore Girls and Ugly Betty."
Okay, so it was a sentence with horrible structure. But they didn't say that it couldn't be a run-on sentence. That was both as difficult and as easy as I though it would be. On the one hand, the sentence makes me seem a bit like a freak with no life. But on the other hand, it really does describe some rather important stuff about me.
But is it a problem that it doesn't include my personality? Should I have said that I am a nice person who has a knack for making people laugh (hey, this is just what I've heard)? Or is it better to just get all of the cards on the table and give the info that would either amuse or scare off people?
