I love cats and wish I had one again. I still feel I have to move first, which is in the cards anyway, so the kitty doesn't have to be an indoor cat. I'm very much against that and have actually gotten into arguments over it because as indoor cat owners, some people feel the need to defend their choices. The thing is, I don't think they have to defend anything -- but I still have my opinion. In other words, do what you want but I won't have a cat until the situation is such that it has enough room to roam around inside AND out, free to come and go via a kitty door whenever it pleases. I feel bad for cats that are locked in. It's depressing. They're not made for it, even if people try to convince themselves that they are. Not to mention the barbaric practice of DECLAWING that takes place here in the US. I couldn't have a caged bird for the same reason. Once again, shrink X would have something to analyze. I wouldn't want to be caged and locked in either. So there.
