Spanish-style homes

I love the Spanish-style homes here in California. They have so much more character than the rest, especially since McMansions are all the rage. The above is a random photo of such a home that I saw on another website. I should go on a real estate photo tour sometime and click away at whatever suits my style. Househunting is one of my favorite things to do. I've done a lot of it, here and elsewhere, but it's a little weird to start clicking away while you're at it. I'm generally not a fan of American-style homes, unless they're older/Victorian, modern/superbright beach homes, or Southern-style homes with the beautiful large verandahs, hanging plants, swings and white paint. That basically means that, in this country, I have expensive tastes. S & T say they'd rather live in an apartment or a condo than buy a regular American home. Europeans! Haha. Of course I know why -- regular homes here seem flimsy to us at best, cheap materials used etc -- and thus far, I've had a similar attitude...
