1. Have you ever been to Mexico?
Yes, repeatedly. I'm living just hours from the border at the moment but prefer the Caribbean side. Mexico City is cool too, all-smoggy yet culturally interesting and a great big city rush.
2. Do you know anyone who is currently in the military?
An acquaintence on IM with whom I disagree with on just about anything, lol... I'm generally not into military types, much less those of the stereotypical American kind. But I guess there may be exceptions as nothing is that black and white... Just haven't met any yet?
3. What is the last party you attended?
Recent get-together for Cinco De Mayo.
4. What do you think about President Bush saying that the United States' National Anthem should only be sung in English?
Bush is the most idiotic President the world has ever seen. That said: I'm not American. So I don't care if people want to have a Spanish version, Chinese version or who knows what of the anthem. I do think however, that a NATIONAL (DUH!) anthem is an national anthem and for any kind of official purpose, it better be sung in the language of the country. I also think immigrants who plan on staying here should learn English. I don't see how this country, or any country, should cater to a minority when that minority refuses to do anything to adjust to their new home.
5. French fries or freedom fries?
Fries. Frites. Pommes. Freedom fries -- could it possibly get any more ridiculous? I can't believe they even came up with this. At least it makes another great 'USA' joke abroad, right? *Snicker
