How can KNOWLEDGE be useless or trivial?
Allgemeinbildung : "Trivia" = Continental Europe/Asia : Anglo-American cultures.
I have issues with that. It's what makes people appear rather dull, uninformed... shallow. Why is it cute to be clueless?
What happened? Or is it 'same as it ever was'? Doers vs thinkers? Narrenfreiheit of physical power? All of it, still being discussed in expat circles.
They've been given Narrenfreiheit for a long time.
Example: "Useless facts".
It's "geeky" to actually know anything?
LOL. The very concept seems so odd.
