Gratitude well I have a lot of it for this craft of mine. Oddly knitting is one of the few crafts I picked up and dived headfirst into the social and sharing aspect of it as well. I joined a knitting group very quickly and met people who were also doing this knitting thing. The best kind of people for a slightly nutty fearless beginner. People with patience, experience, and beer. No seriously, my first knitting group was Beer and Knitting, and an epic beer bar.
We still meet regularly(at a different bar), though nowadays its mostly beer, with occasional, knitting chat. We’re going on 7 or 8 years of great times and without knitting I would have never met any of them. I have so much Gratitude for a random post in the New Yorkers LiveJournal community…yeah you read that right.
And then there is Raverly. Beyond being Raverly, my other knitting group came of it. More friends, more fun, actually going to festivals. Finding podcasts, sellers, spinning and more. Ravelry was my gateway drug to the greater knitting community. So I think I have all the gratitude to the world of knitting and the many ways it has enriched my life.
