Studying Saturday: Expanding My Spinning

Jan 11, 2015 12:06

Two words: Hand Cards Hand cards and a blending brush I have owned for close to two years at this point that I have done nothing with.

During the Tour de Fleece I could not find those locks anywhere. They have since resurfaced and I realized along with carding there are a few other things I want to do in spinning. I want to try supported spinning again. I don’t know if it is the spindle or  just some gaps in my knowledge but the supported spindle I have mostly ends up being used as  a bottom whirl instead of a supported spindle.  Knowing my luck its a bit of both.

The third thing I want to learn to do is spin with a Turkish spindle.  Part of this is wanted to get my hands on a Turtlemade spindle. The catch is I think I have put every size in my  cart and taken it out again.  Standard, Mini, Micro, and Nano. Well really just torn between the standard and the Mini.  Decisions, decsions. I think the last new spinning skill I picked up was plying on the fly. While great its time to expand and learn more.
