It's just -- a drink should be refreshing. Hot drinks are not refreshing. Cold drinks ARE. Right now I am drinking some of my Honest Tea. Cold, refreshing. Yeah.

I'm just glad I didn't get sick on this vacation like I did last February. I was SUCH a killjoy.

Hot drinks are meant to be comforting, not refreshing! Celestial makes a lovely licorice throat soother tea. I adore it when I'm sick.

Hot licorice? Oh, taffy, you're killing me. (Though I just gave up on sleeping, I was coughing too bad, and guess what I'm drinking? Another mug of hot water, lemon & lime and honey.)

LOL, no the hot licorice sounds really insane! But is it black licorice or red licorice? B/c I always disliked black licorice as a kid, then this one time in Mexico City I had anise shots, which I thought would be gross and black licorice-y, but it turns out I really liked it! Of course, that was the final drink of the night, so who knows -- I may have been influenced by all the other drinks.

And I am disappointed by the supreme lack of snow, as I wanted an excuse to stay home again tomorrow. Silly forecasters got my hopes up only to dash them on the bare rocks of an inch of snow!

It says it's licorice root on the product page. I really liked it -- the flavor and after taste were nice, and it really coats your throat.

See, I'm thrilled not to have snow. I work from home, so can't have a snow day and all snow means for me is shoveling!
