My recipient likes steampunk, which translates to me as someone loses a cyber eye. Yeah, I'm not sure where that comes from, either. :)

This was so much fun to read! I love how you explored the character of Carys, and I love Tosh being a Captain and Kathy having a Noble Quest! One of my favorite details was the man who didn't want to leave and go back to Earth because he was happy where he was. That's something that I don't think gets explored enough--that alien worlds aren't necessarily bad :)

I love the stories of TW encountering something cool or beautiful or benign. I wish it had happened in the series more.
