SHARK ATTACK!! And the zoo! And Prince of Persia is a terrible movie!
Dudes!!!! i am sitting here drinking wine and watching Prince of Persia which is a really, really bad movie. we have to wath it b/c M is getting paid to. it sucks, hee. but piper just dragged me outside to go to the bathroon. she had to go, not me. i use a toilet! like this skeleton!!!
So then amand_r and Her Royal Viviness came to visit, and we went to the zoo and an ice cream bar and the Dogfish Head beer place and dim sum and we made a cupcake Shark Attack scene out of neifile7's cupcake book! IT WAS AWESOME! IT'S AWESOMENESS WILL NOT BE DEFEATED!!!
The zoo (Smithsonian) was all decorated for Halloween. Some of the stuff was wicked weird, yo.
What did i just post? Monkey birthday party and a bar, that's right!
Children of the Corn, yo! And this thing that, yeah, I have no idea. WTF? I think I designed this one when i was drunkies.
How bout some animals? Yeah? Hells yeah!

Orangutans are my favorites! This one dude is hiding and having a munchie under his blanky, and then these two just had a cuddle.
As much as I love watching the panda walk towards me, I love seeing it waddle away! Oh, its butt-walk, so cute!
A prairie dog, a personal favorite of the daughters of amand_r and alba17. B/c they are just tooooo cute! Vivi and her Hello Kitty sunglasses approve.
After our sojourn at the zoo, we bade farewell to the Virginia contingent (the alba17 fam) and struck out for Maryland and the Dogfish Head to meet up w/ taffimai. W/ a stop for ice cream along the way, of course. B/c no outing is complete w/out ice cream! Anyhow. At Dogfish, taffimai gave Vivi a Screaming Monkey. Thanks for that, Taffy! It was actually a nice screamer. (I am condensing a lot b/c the movie ended and I still haven't staarted the uh, Shark Attack!) Dim sum w/ mandr's relatives, and FYI Internet at Large: I am allergic to mangoes! That is the one thing I am allergic to! Thankfully, I figured out the guacamole had mangoes in it before I ate it. (Yes, there was guacamole at the dim sum. It's a requirement!) And the cake said "Mango Cake" right on it, so that was easy to avoid. The dim sum was very yummy. I ate a lot. Especially of the crispy noodles dish. AND I HELD A BABY!!!!!!!!!!

Shark Attack. So awhile ago, neifile7 gave me this cupcake-decorating book, and last week it was her birthday and I wanted to give her some pictures of the creation of one of the coolest scenes from the book -- SHARK ATTACK. Also, mandr loves the shark attacks, yeah.
First we made the cupcakes (vegan, naturally) and used the blue and purple muffin liners and arranged them on my gorgeously well-preserved big-ass cookie sheet. Then we started frosting them. Vivi made the ocean!
Instructions are hard! Mandr and Vivi go to town, mandr on making a shark, Vivi on a buoy.
Her Royal Viviness likes the whole taste-tester route. :)
Some half-formed sharks, and a complete one. They're green sharks! Environmentally-conscious! And they're made out of twinkies.

Somewhere in here is the meeting of Dalek Blech and Dalek Blue. These were hand0knitted by nicholas h. cruentum, cruentum. they're awesome and things got a bit frisky between them in mandr's pics. this is the G rated meeting. Oh! and mandr's tom-tom GPS thing is Dalek Tom-Tom! It talks like a Dalek! It says "Obey! OBey! OBEY!!!" and stuff about being exterminated. it gets really into it.
So yeah, that was the weekend. Good times. I love me some mandr and Vivi visiting shenanigans! I hope neifile7 likes the shark pics! I'm excited, too, b/c I'm finally going to post a story on Wednesday! It's SPN, so no one will read it, but I finished writing something and it shall be posted!!!! Woo hoo!!!
