Lovely. I really hope that, with all the grief over Ianto, fandom doesn't forget Tosh; after all, she too was given the short end of the stick as a character, and it's great to see fic that explores her more. :)

I started this before my grief over Ianto, but then I finally felt I could return to it and finish it off. I like to write Rhys and the women of TW, but read Jack/Ianto more. It's weird, but I won't be abandoning Tosh out in the wilderness any time soon, no worries!

oh yay! i was so excited to read this! :) for some reason, this is my very favorite part:

Their world was just as alien to her, but she emulated her mother and did not let on her true feelings, sitting quietly in a corner and calculating the number of buttons on the clothing of everyone named Sato versus the buttons on everyone named Sasaki. The Sasakis used many more buttons.

wonderful imagery here. just lovely.

and this:

“Interesting place you got here. The décor’s a bit wanting.”

just SO jack. wonderful, wonderful piece. thanks for letting me the honor of betaing. you just *get* tosh so, so well.

The button thing was the one thing you and misswinterhill had totally in common. Go, buttons!

I love Jack and Tosh interaction. :) And thank you so much for betaing!

This brought tears to my eyes - I'm not sure why. Well, just, it was that touching. Also thanks for the music tip - I'm now revelling in Ben Harper and the Blind Boys on YouTube.

This is wonderful! It feels very true to Tosh - the ability to be restrained, but an innate exuberance about the things she loves.

That's an awesome description of Tosh! Truly, I love that geeky side of us that just loves something and can get totally excited about it, no matter if we are usually much more contained in our emotions. Tosh totes would fit into fandom...
