I said I wasn't ready to read post-CoE. But I had to look at this. And it is a suckerpunch to the gut. This is a conversation Jack had w/ Rhiannon before he went running off. It's heartbreaking, but so incredibly What Happened. This gets so firmly into Jack's mind that I'm tearing up writing the rec. And the quote for the title? Gah! Read it when you can handle the pain. It's beautiful. I love it.

This is a fic I co-beta-ed and I've mentioned to a few of you to keep your eyes out for it. Well, it's now posted, so go read! This is Suzie. Exactly Suzie. I love, love, love the exploration of her interconnectedness to Gwen and the relationship she had with Jack. The steam of consciousness story-telling is executed beautifully. And I adore the glimpse of Suzie when she was small. Enters my personal canon for Suzie.
And! laurab1 made me art for the TBB fic, The Thing with Feathers That Perches in the Soul. I was really blessed w/ the artwork, y'all; I think I got the best ever! This one is Steve! Steve being one of my favorite aliens, and a star of the fic. Be sure to open it big, as the texture on this is incredible, and exactly how I pictured dear Steve. Thanks so much, laurab1!
