Backlogged
Susans a volenteer and has a voleteer company in new york, so a few days i spent in bejing were just going around to volenteer places, so she can start sending people to china, she was very excited. But i was so board the whole time. I almost fell a sleep at on eof the meatings.
Shirly dot com and I went to the biggest park in china, and it has amusment park rides too, but the rides were all lame small, and short. We did a car ride and shirly has never driven a car before so she explaned how to drive it like five tirmes (gas ans brake) The day before susan left for america, petere had a big bussness meanting and afterward invited us to a really really nice club, on the lake with a live band kareoke. Peter was there with a few rich friends but they left but one. He asked peter if i would like a nice pretty girl to hang out with.I laughed and thought he was joking, then 20 mins later he returns with a girl. My 1st thought was this a prostitute? Did he pay for her so i could have her? Or maybe its his personal girl that he will loan to me, that he might jsut pay a monthy rate for. If i say "No i dont want to have sex with you" Will they be offended?
Susan thought the same thing, and we made jokes about how she didnt get a male companion. Turns out the girl was not a prostitue (i dont think anyway) But jsut dressed up slutly looking girl that wanted to practice her english
The night before i wanted to go out to a club so that i could go dancing cause ben wont want to do that. So i have to get all my dancing out befoer ben gets here, even thought its wednessday. I thought that beijing is bigger than new york so there has to be people out. But it turns out there wasnt.just 4 or five people in each bar. Then i saw one called beautiful girl and i thoguht strippers YAHH!! But no it was just girls sinning, no getting naked. Then i found a bar w/ actually a lot of people in it, and a live band so i thought i would hang out there. I got myself a drink, and a seat but 2 songs later, they were done. So i went back to a club called arena cuase it was a rave club w/ blacklights and couches. I didnt want to go home so i thought id go there and chill. I got upstared and they had stoped playing techno and were doing karokie, so i took a seat and wathced a girl sing "my heart will go on. Then i turn around and a group behind me waves me over to sit next to them, and i thought what the hell.
2 of them spoke very little english, but enough to talk to them. They were all drunk, and the man to my left was super drunk and kept falling on me, and soon he handed me the book with all the songs to see if i could sing a song. Why looking throught the book he was getting offly close, and making me feel uncomfertble. I know here in china men are more open with men just a women are open with women in america. SO i didnt think much of it, Then just as I finished looking through the book everyone gets up to leave, but the guy to my left stays. I say arnt you going with your friends? He said no ill stay here with you. I told him that i was leaving soon so we should just all leave together now. Then the other coupply left, so soon it was jsut me and him and the dj sitting in a dark dark room. I said i had to use the bathroom, and i could just run away from this akward situation, but that would be mean and im not a mena guy. What was so strange about it was that he was sitting so close to me, i began to wonder if he was gay or not.
So being the nice guy i am i went back upstairs, and he had bought me a beer, and some american cigs. Then we cheers and then he rapps his arms around my arms like you do when you get married. AND THAT WAS IT.. so i turned to him and said "Hey let me ask you, are you gay?" Then theres a pause , i didnt know if he understood the word gay, then he said yes i am. So then i told him that i was straight and liked women, and i dont mind being friends with a gay person, i just dont want them hitting on me. So he puts his arm around me to say sorry. I grabbed his arm and say "see this isnt going to work, you cant do this." So then we start to talk about his love life, and if he has a boyfriend. He told me that all his friends that were there earlyer were all gay too. even the girls. I sadi why dont you date one of your friends. He said "well there not sexy.....like you are. I want a sexy man .... like you." I reasuer him that theres a man out there looking for him, he just has to be persistant,
Then he said " But i want you!!" we talked for the next 30 mins and finished off the beer. We talked about normal things but everynow and again he woudl cop a feel, or rest his head on my shoulders. And i would move it and remind him that i was not gay. He gave me his number and invited me out to lunch and dinner several times. I told him thats not a good idea, each time. Then he said he wanted to visit me in Xin Yu. I told him once again "Not a good idea" He tried to think of anything to see me again, even "I know a lot of girls i can introduce you"
As we were leaving he told me that i was a beautiful person, and that he will miss me. I told him he was drunk and its only cause i am american, that you like me. and that in the mornning he would forget all about me. I sadi good bye and he started top hug me, and i stopped him with a hand shake, and then i drove off into the sunset....roll crdits...
