I totally agree, and I feel the same way. For a while I was actually afraid of being happy, of being stable, because my life was so melodramatic. But really, who needs the drama?
And I know how you feel about having all this energy to burn and nothing to do with it. I want to write, but I don't know what to write about. So I write in my livejournal, compulsively.
Why don't you try writing short stories instead of poetry for a while?
You just wrote something. That whole thing is only something you could write. And I understand your thoughts of thinking you're too happy. I think people have a need to be sad or angry because perhaps sadness and anger are much stronger emotions than happiness. And happiness is something you have to work for and its often a scary thing cuz you feel like maybe the happiness is blinding you from seeing the truth. But really you are very lucky to have happiness. Don't let a little doubt ruin that. You deserve happiness. You deserve a wonderful. And there are plenty of things to write about. And they don't always have to be poems. I write stories, letters, sentences, aphorisms, whatever I can to help me vent. Just be happy. Cuz you have every reason to be.
