Today my Bible teacher was lecturing on the importance of believing that EVERY WORD of the Bible was inspired and how there are liberals out there that teach things like "The Bible becomes truth as it touches your heart" or "only parts of the Bible are the Word of God". This got my brain working to realize some things!
1) These false philosophies cannot be believed. The wackos that make up these things don't know what they are talking about because they haven't delved into God's Word themselves! Let's say that I never took Chemistry....why would anybody believe me when I told them that the modern theory of the atom was bogus????? It's pure madness.
2) People today, including adults AND youth do not know the Word of God....they don't know what they believe or why...and they certainly don't have set standards.
Don't get me wrong...I don't know the Bible half as well as I want to and a tenth as well as i need to, but there are some pretty sad people out there. I can't tell how many times I have heard "Well, I think the Bible says somewhere something about...." It's pitiful. So I challenge you all to delve deeper into the Word. I think God has told me to memorize a book...so I think I shall try Ephesians. Would someone please keep me accountable to it? Thanks so much!
