Mycroft flushed. "Apologies," he muttered.

"Don’t worry about it. Tea is very important." John took a seat at the kitchen table, watching Mycroft finish."

I loved it! I was a little apprehensive about the pairing, but need not have been at all - it was a beautiful, romantic tale - the slow build up, the teasing, the "missing you" and then the romantic reconcilliation with a promise of more . . .

This was lovely. Much like life, with some things being less than ideal - especially the hit to John's confidence from not being able to practice medicine - and others thankfully working out much better - I was so pleased for him that things with Mycroft were off to such a good start.

I especially like the way you've shown that John is an intelligent man, even in in the context of his temporary job: the way that he was able to observe and infer things about Mycroft was very satisfying.
