I float like a brick

So, work is getting interesting.

I'm not sure of the timeline of this latest bout of fuckery. So, here it is the best I can write it:-

- Today was pay day. We were waffling back and forth about whether we were actually going to get paid. For reference, when I say 'we', I mean myself and the two other employees on my level.

- Eventually we got paid. In full. Yay!

- Stephen, our interim director didn't get paid. My boss brought him on to help with the company, and hasn't paid him for two months. He can no longer afford to work for us. Another consultant we brought on for the same thingis also owed at least a month's fees.

- We owe looots of people loooots of money, is the upshot.

- Boss goes in for brain surgery tomorrow. We don't know when he'll be out. Even when he does come out he still has two more brain tumours to get treated. And that's assuming they're not cancerous - they're doing a biopsy of hte tumour they're removing tomorrow, if all goes well.

- Next Thursday the two consultants and my boss' dad, who's been supporting my boss throughout this failure of a business are meeting to decide if we can go forward with this company. Given my boss' reaction to any suggestion of change, the prevailing attitude is that no, we can't continue.

Teal Deer: I might not have a job next week. Yay? I actually kindof want the company to go over - I have zero job security at the moment, but I still need to come into work to deal with this. I want to move on but have no energy to do so. I'll be glad when I know what's going on.

me me me, rl
