goodbye 08, hello 09 (Happy New Year #3)

Jan 02, 2009 02:04

2008 was a blast. So many things had happened this past year, that it would eat a big space in this blog if I enumerate it one by one.

JANUARY brought me a blessing and a curse.
FEBRUARY brought me a letter and a confusion.
MARCH brought me the answer to the letter that I was looking for.
APRIL was full of teary and emotional goodbyes; and also newfound relationships.
MAY was the start of a new chapter, and the preparation for the things to come.
JUNE was a stepping stone for college; and saw a broken friendship healed.
JULY lifted the January curse and brought some blessings along with it.
AUGUST was filled with song and study; and forgetting was the main theme.
SEPTEMBER was the time of rejoicing over monetary (and libre) issues. xD
OCTOBER was filled with anxiety over exams, grades and the next semester.
NOVEMBER saw an unexpected farewell; and the start of the real game.
DECEMBER brought many blessings and celebrations; as well as unexpected revelations.

All in all, a great year. :D

Now I realize that life from now on will be much harder for me. This is only the beginning.

***

I just realized on New Year's Eve that I seriously need to change myself from now on. Before, I was only running away from schoolwork. When I solved that, I found myself really tired. I found myself stopping. But in that moment, I found the drive to go on; to live life as if there's no tomorrow.

Now is the time that I have to face my responsibilities. I have to change. :p Besides, I've been running away from them for a long time now. Also, I have been denying and lying to myself about someone these past few months. I'm good at dodging my issues, ne? xD

Oh well. I don't really need a long list of New Year's resolutions right now even though I want everything to be planned out. I'll try to go at this goal at my own pace this year.

And I really do hope that nothing out of the ordinary happens while I'm still at it. (Heck, I witnessed an actual study-crazed, sleep-deprived girl wreaking havoc at our worship service last Thursday; and an actual stalker going up the choir place to our choir organist this Thursday. I hope I don't turn out like the first one did. xD)

Happy New Year guys! See you real soon! :p
