Okay, so its 6:30 on a Sunday afternoon, and I have a major Chinese exam in the morning at 9am. How much studying have I been pursuing??? Very little, actually. I just can't seem to get motivated enough to study. AND...I'm having a quiz this week over the Econ readings in Cheng Laoshi's class and I've not even pursued that today. Maybe if I take a break now from studying (LOL, what studying?!) and just get up early in the morning and study, I'll be able to focus more clearly.

So what HAVE I done today?? Let's see. I signed up for a military date website (don't ask), talked to a couple people from home, and reevaluated my goals for the next ten years of my life, was upset that I didn't go to silk market and get the qipao I wanted, got over it, and am now happy with the dress and the fact that I also got the last two dvds of LOTR and HP for Cyn and Em.

Other than that, I've been researching Appalachian Sayings...or rather, I've been trying to. The people here with me from William and Mary seem to be fascinated by our little sayings...things they haven't heard that I never knew they never knew. It all got started with the "turned my giggle box over" comment. Apparently, thats a very localized saying. So, I was wondering if you all could help me. Do you all remember any phrases or such that we use in our area? Just anything really, that reminds you of SWVA sort of talk?? If you could, I would really appreciate a comment or two with some! It's sort of hard to try to decipher things out when they come so naturally as a means of expression, lol.

Anyways, Love ya'll and can't wait 'til I come home for the next big adventure!
