Hyuuga Neji heavenly_earth June 15 2011, 21:21:05 UTC
Age: 17
Skill Level: Expert
Availability: The best time for me is 12-6pm at the moment.
Experience: I've been trained in my clan's fighting style from the time I was able to coordinate my movements and entered the Konoha Academy for additional training over the course of several years. Since graduation, I've worked for the village; taking missions, working with my team, and honing my abilities.
Style: Jyuuken is an internal fighting style, focused on hitting pressure points on an opponent in order to incapacitate them. It's an evasive style, utilizing the entire body with fluid and circular movements.
Strengths and Weaknesses: Close range hand to hand combat is my specialty. My attacks lack power, but I'm fully capable of redirecting an opponent's own attacks while creating openings for my own.

Unfortunately, I possess no long-range capabilities and need to focus on closing the distance as quickly as possible in such an instance. I'm not particularly experienced in armed combat and though I can hold myself against an opponent that is armed, it's not something I'm terribly accustomed to.

Strengths and Weaknesses - OOC: Neji's faster than a regular human due to his shinobi training, but it's not quite super speed. He has very extensive knowledge of hand-to-hand combat, and his movements are almost seamless.

One of his major strengths is his sense of calm focus and determination, and he tends to observe an opponent's movement even during an exchange- a habit born out of having the Byakugan his entire life.

He doesn't have the Byakugan or chakra here, however. What this means is he'll have more difficulty following the movements of the quickest opponents and be forced on the defensive in these instances until he can figure out a way to counter. His eyes still don't miss much, however, quite accustomed to taking in details subconsciously.

The lack of chakra means a loss of power to his attacks and he's been forced to adapt to this as much as possible lately, but it's still not something he's been able to make up for completely. In his world, he can disrupt an opoonent's chakra system and make their attacks useless with jolts of his own chakra bled through his fingers to any physical contact they make with his opponents. It's offensive and defensive edge he's lost and he's taken to re-familiarizing himself with pressure points on the body without his enhanced vision in an effort to make up for it.

As he mentioned, armed or long-distance combat situations aren't ideal for him. The former he can deal with to an extent, the latter is a difficulty that isn't new to him, but still needs work. He's taken up training with tonfa out of curiosity and to help with the armed combat issue but while he's made some progress, he's far from skilled with them.

Tl;dr: His natural fighting style has undergone under a lot of modification since arriving in Death City and the advanced training and competition will help him recognize the flaws he can't see just training on his own.
