My first Pretender fic! It's set just after episode 208: Hazards, so if you haven't seen that far, do not read any further. 950 words that are a little darker than I usually go for.

Wow, that was quick! :)

And, oh, man, this is ouchy, but entirely believable. Because the parallels are definitely there, and because life at the Centre inevitably messes you up for normal relationships.

I do find it interesting, by the way, that he never had the tattoo removed. Not surprising, somehow, but interesting.

I've met people who never had them removed.

And is this in the right place? This is meant to be a drabble comm, but the other one doesn't seem to have fic in it.

The other comm is fine, too. (In fact, please, make traffic there! At least a link. I have been very out of it lately.) I can't speak for Lyss, but I don't think she's too strictly enforcey on things like length or theme.
