Space is big... but not necessarily that far away....
For those of you that don't look at apod, I think this is one of the most amazing "space" photos I've ever seen. It was taken from the International Space Station with an ordinary 35mm camera and (one presumes) a fuckoff-yowge telephoto lens.
Suddenly space doesn't seem that far away... and the 432mm-equivalent on my camera seems very small! ;)
