I watched this movie "Partners", one of the queer movies I got on video, and it was very entertaining. It's from the 80s, and it's about these two cops - one gay man and one straight man - who go undercover as a gay couple to solve the murder of a gay male porn model. It stars Ryan O'Neal (as the straight guy) and John Hurt (as the gay guy), and they make a very sweet couple. Stereotypes abound in the movie, of course, but it's actually one of the more positive pre-90s portrayals of gay men I've seen in movies. I won't give away the plot - it's a murder mystery, after all - but I'd have to say I recommend it.
