Kodachi hasn't tortured or caused misfortune to her brother in ages. Does this make him more relieved or make him more wary that she's going to DO SOMETHING in the future?
BOTH. When he thinks about it he is relieved, but then he worries about how it will be when it DOES happen as he is no longer accustomed to it. And on that note, why HASN'T SHE? Is she planning something nefarious? Or perhaps doing more with that vile Saotome?
What is your favorite colorscheme for Kodachi? Like, regarding her hair and leotard. Mostly anime? Or something from one of the color inserts?
I tend to prefer the anime, especially for her leotard; despite the fact that a lot of her icons with her in one are from the manga, the green leotard is what I always assume she's in as opposed to the black one.
Do you pull your characterization for Kuno more from the anime or the manga (I ask because... someone asked about the Ranma cast as a whole in regards to which they play from and I could only coherently answer for myself, um)?
Like my icons, most of my characterization for Kuno is taken from the manga... but a lot of the voice and his stupidity is borrowed from the anime, mostly because it's more fun to deal with. However the manga just has 'deeper' characters overall rather than the one-trick ponies most characters evolved into in the anime- so it lets me play him somewhat multifaceted. I'd say... 80% manga 20% anime?
How'd you decide to have Kodachi finally find out about the curse? I can't even remember the thread where it happened. Obviously it opened a big subject to play with, though with Kuno it'd close it just as much-- one of the reasons why he'll never figure it out- at least not permanently.
I don't... even remember anymore? I honestly chalk it up to horrible play on my part for the first month. I think it involved a thread with Ken (Hidaka) where he more or less explicitly said what the curse was and that Ranma had it but that's about as far as I get but yeah. If I were to go back and start over again that wouldn't have happened for a long time; it would probably still happen, but it would take more than that to get her to accept it and live with it
( ... )
hahaha I really love the play that's come out of it myself, whether it be regrettable or not. I don't think Kodachi ever had it spelled out for her or had it happen in front of her anyhow (whereas... Kuno has many times).
A little of column A, a little of column B. I've been toying with the idea of aging Kuno up and him being actually competent and knowledgeable about the curse and generally a good guy who knows what's up but still fawns over Akane since he'd know about the curse (for a while at the point I'd be 'pulling' him from). Just to... brain-break the cast if nothing else. However that's tip-toeing territory I've never messed with, and I'd have to figure out how to play Kuno if he wasn't as much as an idiot as he is now.
... that would be amazing and I would fully enable that if you figure it out how to do it (I'm totally doing the same sort of thing with Ty Lee someday it should be awesome probably hopefully).
Addendum to my answer because I'm too lazy to renew my paid time yet-- if I were ever to get a Sasuke manservant I'd totally have Kuno remember him rather than being confused about who the heck he was.
See, if we got a Sasuke (and I would LOVE THAT because I love Sasuke even if I don't quite like the fact that his existence furthers the "lol Kuno family is incompetent lol" stuff) I think I'd still have Kodachi not recognize him, not because of an affront against the anime but because it would just be hilarious if the poor guy had to deal with the fact that his mistress had absolutely no clue who he even was. That kind of shitty luck is almost kind of canon for him.
Ahahaha that really is great, someone needs to app him :( They get to be a fail-ninja that canonly moves in with other people when his master and mistress are unhappy with him.
It's a pity we'll probably never get one, especially right now because Kodachi is starting to head down quite possibly the warpath to end all warpaths and the abuse he'd take would be amazing and A+++. Dammit Sasuke quit being a failninja. :(
