Dick is the man with a plan. Well. He's the man with a few plans, and he's planning on carrying them all out. Most of them are similiar in some sort of way: he needs to reconnect with the people he loves, find some way to spend some quality time with them. He's lost contact with so much, and he needs to get it back.
And... well. Who else to start with but Roy? It was the place to start, obviously, even if Dick hasn't lost contact with him. Because... well. He was Roy.
It's hard to conduct a plan secretly when one lives in the same house as the person they're trying to spring a surprise on, but Dick's been trying his best. He's been arranging all the elements seperate from home... except for the final ones. Those get prepared that morning, when Roy's still conked out. Hopefully, at the most, he's just appeared merely suspicious this whole time.
And now... well, it's all ready. So all that's left is the prime element. Which, unfortunately, requires waking Roy up.
Which means he'll probably be grumpy. Oy. But it's a risk Dick has to take.
Poking him would probably be most effective, but he'll save that tactic for last. Right now, he just leans in, and mutters into his ear. "Roy? Time to wake up."
