It's actually harder than one might think to navigate the way out of a linen closet while on crutches. Or rather, it'd be hard if Dick was even given the chance to -try-: it seems that the laws of physics disagree with him, and as soon as he exits the bar? He pretty much stumbles forward and then falls on his ass.
