Woman fakes trip to South East Asia on social media.  This would be a great way to fill in gaps in your resume, for example.

Maybe the Japanese will come up with a Tardigrade Burger (w/ Tradigrade Special Sauce)! I wouldn't put it past them--they eat some funky things. ;)

Wauw, so much to comment on!

1 - great quote. Never heard of this, but I think the Dutch were there first: http://stuffdutchpeoplelike.com/2011/03/06/hagelslag/

2 - that fake trip thing is great. That's going straight onto my FB page ;)

3 - tardigrades are fab

4 - charcoal in food... I don't know. The only info I can found is about medicinal activated charcoal. (Although, apparently, this is a thing: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/LocationPhotoDirectLink-g1058638-d1905182-i63919473-Gastronomic_Restaurant_Marques_de_Riscal-Elciego_Alava_Province_Basque_C.html)

People need to stop putting sprinkles on their bread slices! That they're foreigners is no excuse--this is just so ghetto (or so red-neck). It's like they, after having run out of proper pastry foundation, and being too lazy to make a jaunt to the grocery store, improvise. ;)

I remember the first time I encountered "Hagelslag": I was like "for real? Chocolate on bread? And this is legitimate food??! HAND ME THE BOX!" (I was 13)

I hadn't put it together that you would have had hagelslag as a kid growing up in SA! But you would have, being Afrikaner and therefore Dutch. Duh.

Wow, that water bear is seriously a survivor! That is pretty amazing. Don't know that I'd call it "cute" though.

That is all false advertising re: Japanese Burger King - you know that is the Burger King in hell, Paul. *sigh & eye roll*

So cool the way different cultures put their own twist on things. I wonder if charcoal really does absorb toxins, seems more like it would BE a toxin to ingest.

lol That really could be a BK burger in Hell (or a "crispy" burger I cooked on my backyard grill).
