In the late 80's I owned a boombox that held 4 cassettes, two on each side stacked backed each other. Within a month the back taps would no longer work, so I think you are correct about the probability of failure. However.. this changer is far more unique and awesome. I have a nice boombox right now that I rarely use.. I think it may be time to break it out and go cassette shopping.
So far I've kept most of my finds in my basement or above-garage study. But, yeah, I need to make a car-load of donations soon. ;)
I think you're more from the minimalist school of decor, at least from the pics of your flat you posted before. But then again, you did mention you had a cluttered desk. Just what is your style?
I'm a wannabe minimalist but with far too much stuff to ever be successful at it. I do have a cluttered desk and there's always one room in my house that is very messy indeed. The rest is usually freakishly neat though so I figure it all balances out.
A thing like that actually exists, what the hell. Very neat. I just changed all the cassettes in the glovebox. I've been listening to the same stuff for several years.
