In the late 80's I owned a boombox that held 4 cassettes, two on each side stacked backed each other. Within a month the back taps would no longer work, so I think you are correct about the probability of failure. However.. this changer is far more unique and awesome. I have a nice boombox right now that I rarely use.. I think it may be time to break it out and go cassette shopping.

Cassettes are sexy! And the best part is, you can pick 'em up at thrift stores less than 4 bits.

7-Disc Changer?! Awesome! I really like the design, such a pity it wasn't working. The Sony one looks really cool, too.

I hope cassettes don't disappear completely. They're a lot of fun. ;)

Me too. I even made a mixtape last year, a gift for a friend. Also, How kids react - walkman. So funny and kinda sad.

Good grief, I feel old. Still I suppose their children will wonder what a CD is.

How do you have room for all the amazing thrift store things you find?

I hope your peeled eyes pay off and you find another one pronto!

So far I've kept most of my finds in my basement or above-garage study. But, yeah, I need to make a car-load of donations soon. ;)

I think you're more from the minimalist school of decor, at least from the pics of your flat you posted before. But then again, you did mention you had a cluttered desk. Just what is your style?

I'm a wannabe minimalist but with far too much stuff to ever be successful at it. I do have a cluttered desk and there's always one room in my house that is very messy indeed. The rest is usually freakishly neat though so I figure it all balances out.

A thing like that actually exists, what the hell. Very neat.
I just changed all the cassettes in the glovebox. I've been listening to the same stuff for several years.

I'm glad you use cassettes too. That is a mark of a strong and independent character. ;)

Sounds very cool, but did start to imagine a lot of chewed up cassettes. Must have cost a small fortune back in the day.

I broke down and bought the Sony version on eBay. So far it's working fine. * knock on wood *
