I never understood why we attacked Iraq (a second time). None of the officially stated reasons made sense. However, today, checking the newly-released non-fiction from my public library, it all made sense. We invaded Iraq to steal their recipes for couscous (and other recipes, of course):

He wanted to expand the culinary diversity of the nation's palate, and what better way to get to know another country and its food than to bomb, invade and destroy it.
I expect an Iran cookbook will be on the shelves by Christmas.
