if there were a fire, we'd burn up for sure

Today has flown by. We were slammed at work from the second we walked in this morning--Amanda is on vacation until Wednesday so we're a little short-staffed today and tomorrow. The best that can be said for being as busy as we were is that work was over in no time. Mike cancelled our meeting, so I had time to run by O'Reilly's and get wiper blades and a new air filter, then take back the clothes I got at Charlotte Russe the other day. It's totally my bad because I wasn't paying nearly enough attention, but COME ON. A 12" waist is not a large! What is this madness?!

Came home and there was a UPS package in my mail box (addressed to Dennis) and a package against my door (addressed to me). Well I thought the one addressed to me were the presents I had ordered for my mom's boyfriend and my little sister. False. It was part one of Dennis' birthday present to me! Whoops! Luckily he had already told me I could have it early. It's a Kurt Halsey print... and I'm kind of obsessed with Kurt Halsey. My bedroom is a borderline shrine.

When Dennis got home I went grocery shopping. I am a BOSS when I go grocery shopping alone. Mostly because I loathe grocery shopping and I want to get in and out as quickly as humanly possible. But I'm pretty sure I got enough groceries for the next 2 weeks and I only spent $58. Came home and made spaghetti and green beans and had some of Beth's homemade wine (AMAZING).

Which leads me to this weekend... Amanda's annual Christmas party was Saturday! What a freaking blast. I may be biased, but I'm pretty sure mine and Dennis' gift bags were the best.

There was amazing food, we all had too much to drink, and had entirely too much fun. Dirty Santa, seeing who could get a cookie from their forehead into their mouth the fastest without using their hands (yes, I did win that), and Cards Against Humanity. Good, good times. Although I was outrageously wasted, so thank God for Dennis. He drove us home and didn't make fun of me too much for thinking all the green beans would magically make me not-drunk.

Sunday morning (early afternoon, since, hangover), Dee and I went to Beth's house for brunch. There is not much I love more than brunches at Beth's house. We drink a lot of mimosas and bloody marys, throw down on fruit, hashbrown casserole, and donuts, and talk about EVERYTHING. Beth is one of the first friends I made at Demos' when I moved to Murfreesboro, and I'm so glad we're still as close as we are. Especially because she told me she might be moving soon and renting out her house.... and if she does, I get first dibs on renting. At a drastically decreased rate. Beth is the best.

Alright--I'm really making an effort to keep these posts public, so I hope you enjoy my every day bullshit. ;D
