fly away on my zephyr...

I guess life felt like giving me a good punch today. It all started last night when Dee was like, "Hey, I've got this ready made LIT set, you wanna drink?" The answer to that is almost always yes. I woke up this morning and felt fine, but as the day progressed I got one of those ninja hangovers that sneaks up on you out of nowhere and completely debilitates you in one blow. The good news is that I got off work at eleven today; the bad news is that I got off work at eleven today because I had a dentist appointment. At twelve. In downtown Nashville.

Somehow made it through my cleaning without hurling on the nice hygenist's face, then decided to go to Ashland City today (instead of Saturday) to have my car serviced. Oil, fluids topped off, tires rotated and balanced, etc., but also to figure out why my Check Engine light was on (again). On the way there, though, I had to stop and take a thirty minute nap because I was literally falling asleep at the wheel (sleep has not come easily lately). Got to King Automotive about the same time as my grandmother, who picked me up so I could promptly go home with her, be violently sick, then nap for an hour.

Once I woke up and got some food on my stomach I started feeling a little better. I'm sure the extra strength Tylenol didn't hurt, either. However, my waning sickness was quickly tempered by the FLAT TIRE I got as soon as I turned on my road. I had to call Donnie to come over and put the spare on so I can get it fixed tomorrow.

And oh--the Check Engine light was telling me I need a new converter. Which will cost me another couple hundred bucks.

And that's been my day in a nutshell! Tomorrow at work will be interesting, two hours before close, the tech guys will start the installation of all our new equipment. New monitors, computers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, phones... new everything. Even a fancy signing pad for customers while we're closing loans. It's going to be so nice not having to bitch about computers that were built by cavemen.

On that note, I'm going to walk Jack and attempt to get some sleep tonight.
