Time for another public update! Well, the holidays (Christmas, New Year's, and most importantly, my birthday) are over. Here's how it all played out.
Christmas consisted of lots and lots of STRESS. Since my flight for Seattle went out Christmas day, Chris and I had to fit in time with his family AND mine in less than 24 hours. So from 4:00pm on the 24th to 1:00pm on the 25th, we had to drive from Murfreesboro to Tullahoma, Tullahoma back to Murfreesboro, Murfreesboro to Springfield, Springfield to Ashland City, and Ashland City to Nashville. It was exhausting. Christmas was a good haul though. ;)
So I flew out Christmas day and landed in Seattle around 8:00pm. My trip was wonderful, it was so good to see my brother after 12 years. And his family is beautiful. My nephews are the cutest boys in the world, and Candy is the best sister-in-law I could have asked for. Three of the days I was there I just got to lounge around and do nothing... two of the days we went to local malls... and Monday we went into the city. I got some GREAT pictures from the Space Needle.
My birthday was good, if a little tame. That was one of the days we went to the mall, and we also saw Avatar 3D in IMAX, which was amazing. I flew home New Year's Day. My flight got in around 10:30, and Chris picked me up at the airport. Got home around midnight-ish, and he had planned a surprise party for me! My friends Beth, Joey, Lesley, Eric, Shelley, and Donnie all made appearances and it was wonderful. Beth made me a cake in the shape of a purse, and I got to tell everyone about my trip. They stayed for about an hour, and then when everyone left I got to crash. It was a great way to start the new year. :D
So other than that, things I'm looking forward to this year include starting school up again (second semester in a row, part-time), starting work at the bank full-time, finally attempting to decorate our house and make it feel like a HOME, and finally giving and getting equal amounts in my relationship.
2010 is going to be a good year. I feel it. :)
