So Much has Fallen in my Lap!!!!

Good morning, friends!

So much has been going on this week, it's almost unreal!

At work, the woman who handles all the sales and shipping went on vacation for a full 14 business days + the weekends..... so guess who's handling all sales. That's right, yours truely. I've been more than swamped! I'm currently in charge of all purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card transactions (from the Manager's purchases), and now add to that sales, quotes, phone orders, packing products, shipping them out, invoicing, programming USB keys, and customs duties.

I've been so busy and so stressed, I went home yesterday and cried. Then I worked out for an hour and a half. Then I ate dinner, and cried some more over an L. I feel a lot better, but the hours and the work is quickly catching up with me. I've been working 8am-7pm every day.

Plus, on top of all that at work, I still have to get these illustrations done. I haven't worked on them all week, so I'll have to bust my ass over the weekend. More work.

Some GREAT news, though..... I'm also getting ready for my second art show!!!! It's a Rock 'n Roll (Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n Roll) theme. I don't have all the details yet, but it will be September 23-24 in Shadyside at the Armory. There will be a dance troupe again, but this time there will be a much bigger focus on the presented art. along with paintings I do, there will be other artists, as well as video artists, and the dancers. The kids throwing this have received government funded grants to support the show, and are currently printing up Press Kits for advertisements..... hopefully my name will be in it this time.

Also, my mom caught an eyeful of one of my mehndi-style drawings (ya'll know- geometric art usually painted on the body using Henna- I do ink drawings like that) and she's decided to make a quilt using the drawing as a pattern. So, we're going to make the quilt, the quilted pattern will be similar to my Circles drawings, and I'm going to replicate the quilt via painting.... we're going to show this in a gallery once it's done.... we'll show the original ink drawing, the painting, and the quilt. My mom thinks we could end up selling the quilt alone for 10K, and the whole series for 12-15K.

So, yeah- a lot has fallen into my lap since Saturday morning.
Busy busy busy!

Never a dull moment, never a break. Too much to do in too little time, as always.
