I quite liked how you showed us that perhaps John knew what he was breaking in the boys - but coudn't really stop himself.
I need a new icon! I believe I have pretty much left Fraser behind since falling into SPN.

Yeah, I think that John knew it wasn't good to hunt, but it was the best he could do with all her personal damage and fear. Poor dude!

Re:icons- I've been stalking the spn newsletter for new ones, as this journal is almost entirely for fic... and the actors are all very pretty =)

Truly - it will be awhile before I change icons. Here's how it goes - I go to check the weather and peek at LJ and boom - the evening is gone. Just wandering from story to story. If I were to go look at pictures - DAYS would be gone! Well - not really but I do get quite distracted by the good stories. And somewhere amidst all the fic reading - I am supposed to be living a life!

I really loved Due South like nobody's business but the women in it were rather psychopathic so there wasn't always much het to read. Not that I mind the slash but het breaks are fun too.

Haha, yeah. that's actually why I try to stick to one-shot het and gen: it limits my fic reading to a manageable level. I get tempted in by really well written longer stuff and slash, but only the stuff that comes highly recommended. At least that way I have time to sleep ;)

Do you have any longer fics you would rec? I am not sure when I would read it but I want something to look forward to. They could be anything (gen, slash, het) but the most important thing I am looking for is well written. I guess that is rather subjective though isn't it?

Yeah, pretty subjective but here are a few that stuck with me: http://web.me.com/bigpink1/Big_Pink/Tales.html pretty much ate my life when I first got into fic; especially "The New Deal" and "Dazzleland" but really all of it is good. I also love july_july_july's stuff and pdragon76's stories are what convinced me that not all SPN fandom was cracky and weird like I'd been lead to believe. There are probably lots I'm forgetting, but because these were my first I tend to remember them best!
