(no subject)
Today, after working with a student, I had the most interesting conversation with an eight year old. He had been riding his dirt bike and took a dive off of it. The result? Damaging his two front teeth so badly, the dentist had to re-implant them. It's too bad they were permanent teeth. I suppose they'll do alright. The kid should have worn a mouth guard. Most parents don't realize that a mouth guard can protect their child's teeth when the head slams down on the ground or is impacted by something else. I hope he was wearing a helmet. I'll have to ask about that. Any of you out there ever hurt your head/teeth? Just wondering....
