I know almost every person says this. But I will never regret and doubt myself when I say; I think my friends are the most amazing ever.
I'll admit that the beginning of last summer was great. I spent everyday at the beach or mall or somewhere with Jesse, Mel, & Elyse. Until they ran away to Kentucky. The end of the summer was revolting. It killed me so much. Not only did my big brother run away, but him & I had a huge fight over it. Morris & I grew apart and basically stopped being friends, & eventually became like enemies. Colin, one of my best friends, used me & fucked me over. & everyone else just didn't come around. All I truly had were Bekah, Perry, & JP. But the beginning of this summer, everything has changed.
Melvin lives in Virginia now, with his girlfriend. But I got to spend a week there. And he visits a lot. We're completely close again. Colin & I didn't speak all year. But now we can chat in a friendly way atleast. And I've gotten closer with Josh, Jake, Ant, and everyone else in the SMY crew. Just like before. We're all a big group of friends again.
& Morris. Wow, that kid. During the end of the school year, we began to put behind our differences & lightly talk. We began to hang out again too. By that time, I had become a completely new person. I was so nice to him, unlike the bitch I used to be. I was never jealous of him flirting with girls, because hey, it's his life. I stopped lying to him. Last summer, when I was head over heels for him, I used to think I was such a sweetheart to him. But I spent the whole school year, alone & miserable, thinking about how completely psycho, cruel, & jealous I was torwards him. It was horrible. & somehow, in my mind, I always felt he was the one at fault. & that I never did a thing wrong, only him. But I spent this year growing up. & so did he. Now we're as close as before, minus all the bullshit drama.
Now this summer.... It's been extraordinary. The group is together again. I spent the week with Melvin. We bonded more than ever. The past 4 days (since I came back) have been the greatest days of my life. It's truly a summer feeling. Freedom & friendship. Two things I adore. Last night was the best. We went to the beach and spent all night there, until 3 am. We played in the waves. Played football too. & manhunt! Then Kaila, Morris, Josh, Chucky, & I played Spin The Bottle. It was funny. We actually kissed on the lips too. We played Truth or Dare afterwards. Which was even more hilarious & crazy. So much, maybe even too much groping going on. Haha. So I'll share the pictures from yesterday.
