Confirmation Retreat '06!
INDESCRIBABLE. Wow. Once again, St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church organized an UH-MAA-ZZZING retreat. Actually, God made it all possible. Come on, we gotta give HIM the glory!
Everyone got closer. There was a lot of peace. laughter. "peanut-butter jelly time". And a lot of opening up.
This year the weather wasn't so great to be able to get into the canoes. Yes, what a relief for me considering i still have flashbacks of almost drowning. (hahahaha...HA)
But "the big night" made me realize on thing i still have carrying in my heart. I mean, the retreat wasn't even for me...it was for the candidates. My gosh, did the team get so much out of it, or not!?
back to my point, yes, Mr. Rangel told me.......
"You're a beautful girl with such a kind heart. It's been phenomenal hearing what you had to say on stage last year (after i sang at talent show) and this year too hearing what you had to say about the change in you. We see Christ in you and don't let ANYONE TELL YOU WRONG!". well, well, what do you know....why did the one friend i cared about act like this didn't matter.
after hearing Mr. Rangel say that...yes, my dear friend, i bursted into tears. i had no idea i still felt that into my heart.
"sweetie, it's okay. i know, i know, it feels GREAT to be loved". indeed, it does.
regardless of the friendship, or what people come into our lives just for seasons, we shall realize....
GOD'S LOVE IS THE ULTIMATE UNCHANGING.
