The Blue Sword - Robin McKinley 1983 Newbery Honor Book
It is so refreshing to read a book about a young smart brave girl. She isn't constantly doing, saying, or thinking stupid things and then regretting them.
We lost power for 2-3 hours last night. It's amazing how much noise everything makes and how suddenly you notice the absence of that noise. I truly hope everybody who was hit by the ice storms last week soon recovers.
We've also had two bright sunshiny days that have helped melt a lot of the snow. I realize we'll get it all back, but a break is nice.
Hopefully I'll get more work this week. I'm tired of sitting at home.
