"It's Dr. Listen-I-understand-how-you-feel"

Hello, everyone. Things have been pretty good these days. I'm currently putting off my Spanish and mentally preparing myself for my journey down to Qdoba to drop off Aaron's forgotten backpack to him. I do believe on the way back I'm going to stop at the O.P. and pick up some doughnuts. (You down with O... P? Yeah, you know me! Ha. Bad joke, sorry.)

So, I kind of want one of those RIP ODB shirts. Here's a version of one of 'em:

I think the back says something like, "There are many kinds of heroes in life." Haha. Yessss.

It's Aaron's 21st birthday tomorrow. In part it feels like déjà vu--probably seeing him for a bit, but of course he'll inevitably want to go to the bars (yes, I don't blame him), and then possibly seeing him afterwards when he's good and drunk. This same thing happened last year. Ha.

That's not to say things aren't going well with Aaron. It's just kind of one of those things that you can't help but sulk about a little bit. I just don't want to take a backseat to him going out if the opportunity arises. Meh, I don't think that will happen anyway. He mentioned that most of his friends aren't the bar-goin' age anyway.

So enough of my jealous-complaining.

I plan to make him a heartfelt card and bring good tidings. Tidings in gift form!

I should hit the road so I can work on my Spanish sooner.

But--here's another quick update: I went down in pay from $7.50 to $7.00. I'm pretty sure the $7.50 was an accidental raise. But here's the question I pose: If you received a check at $7.50, then received the following check at $7.00, with only a little annotation at the bottom that your pay rate was lowered, wouldn't you be just a little pissed? I mean, I don't think it's irrational of me to think that maybe a verbal explanation was in order. I guess the real reason I'm mad is because I am *always* working there. (Which is expected, I know...) I think I deserve it. I might be especially angry about this because I'm going to menstruate in a week. But, who's to say.

That is all.
