Con Insanity
The fact hit me pretty hard today as I was replying to an e-mail from tim: if I was going to Otakon, I'd have to leave thursday. I'd have to leave thursday and I had NOTHING planned. I hadn't told anyone that I was definitely going, I had no idea how to get to the convention center, I had no idea what the hell was going on. I have a better idea now, but the idea of going to a convention like that still kinda scares me. It'll do me good though; I've only got one more year at Clarkson, one more year in the north country, and then I have to leave. I'd better start getting used to the idea of driving in city traffic. Maybe I'll just bring my bike instead... :P
I got my new car cd player today! and I might even have it installed before I head down. That would be fantastic. That way I won't have to rely on my current radio that can't pick up a signal worth crap.
I also got the closed-cell foam for the sparring swords today. I think I'm going to spend a bit of time fashioning those before I work out and resume work on the website. I should be getting the final component, the canvas, tomorrow and I'm getting eager to try these suckers out :)
