Drive-by post!
Sneaking on to let everyone one know the deal with my absence: I was in motherfucking CUBA.
Two days after I get home for the break, Mom and Dad book a last minute vacation to a resort a short drive from Holguin. I have two days notice, and the internet in my house depends on many things, including the weather and, let's say, the position of Saturn. I had a great time, I'm covered in bites from sand fleas, I'm rested, and I miss you all.
Aaand I have to leave again tomorrow morning. I wasn't planning on that. I was just gearing up to start handling a lot of projects again (fic wise, that sort of thing) but it doesn't seem I'll have time until the new year. Tomorrow morning we get up eraly and drive six hours to Niagara Falls to visit my dad's side of the family.. On the bright side, I can take my laptop with me this time- I just won't be able to keep up with flist developments (I miss rahmbamarama chat!!!!).
Anyway, I'm off, before the thing dies. Soon enough I'll be back with steady residence connection and the ability to check email everyday. My cousins are awesome though, so it'll be bearable :D
