I perused the CNN and MSNBC sites today and neither of them mentioned the Canadian election at all (not even in like a jot note, which was all I was looking for anyway). You know who mentioned us? The Daily Show. Seriously- if it were possible to love my fake news hour more, I would...
I haven't reviewed TDS/TCR in a while (mostly because I totally lurk the fandom...) but the Mark Foley thing sort of stunned me a little... in that I actually remember when they covered it.
So like- DUDE. I've been watching the shows since 2006! That's 2 years! I was 16- the summer after 10 F@#KING GRADE!!!
Anyway, I think the reason I stayed in the fandom was because it kind of seemed like they acknowledged us. Aaaaand last night's toss made me feel that way again. Seriously. They love us. Maybe they don't know it, but they love us. And each other.
And maybe I should actually participate in the fandom now that I'm not the youngest person in it :) Or maybe I still am... who knows?
In other news, Film is the most boring class ever. Whoddathunkit?
