1. What's a fear you've gotten over recently?
Well I haven't completely cleared it, but after answering phones at Papa John's for a couple months I have much less anxiety about phone calls than I used to. Most of the time, that is. I get very, very stressed out when talking on the phone. It is a rather inexplicable issue of mine, idek.
2. OTP?
Oh man so many. I guess if I had to pull out some I've been rather attached to lately I'd go with Katara/Aang (Avatar), Juri/Miki (Utena), and (to break the rules a bit) an OT3: Gold/Silver/Kris from Pokémon Special. Katara/Aang will always be a favorite of mine because of how EPIC it is (and there better be something equally epic in Korra). Juri/Miki is just...from the depths of my soul I don't know. It's just. Awesome crack. A lesbian and her possibly gay male friend eventually realizing they're right for each other. I DON'T EVEN KNOW, GUYS. Gold/Silver/Kris is just like...somewhere between a compromise OT3 and something I'd love to see in canon (even though LOL CHILDREN'S MANGA) because I totally ship Gold/Kris and Gold/Silver and I believe in the friendship between Silver and Kris. I AM MAYBE A BIT OBSESSED WITH THESE THREE OH GOD HGSS CHAPTERS GET SCANLATED FASTER PLZ.
3. What does an average weekday look like for you?
Ahh, this is a weird time to be answering this question because I am transitioning back to SCHOOL MODE and am in this interval space where I am lazy and also trying to pack/stufffljadsj. But for this past summer the average day was: Get up before noon. Take a shower. Putter around and maybe get some things done. Go to work. PIZZA. Come home from work and lie around until the wee hours of the morning. LATHER RINSE REPEAT.
4. What's one thing you wish you could change about humanity in general?
...I wish we researched more. Like, personally. There are so many things going on right now with regard to race, gender, religion, class, and a lot more, and it seems like everyone has an opinion without actually, you know...doing any fucking reading on any of these subjects. I am often guilty of this myself, one of the reasons I've been trying to expand my knowledge (taking hold of whatever articles and information are offered to me, and seeking a lot out on my own) and maybe become a bit more specialized (minoring in Gender Studies). There are so many amazing resources out there that we have an amazing amount of access to, and it seems like the people with the most access are the least concerned and the least willing to mentally stretch themselves. It bugs me.
5. What's your favorite childhood memory?
Hrm. I guess if we put childhood at 12 or younger (because oh man so many memories of me being a TOTAL TEEN that need to be filtered out), I have some really awesome memories of mini-golf at the beach with my family. It was fun! I guess I don't have a lot of "precious childhood memories" per se.
