I had to go to drill this weekend and it SUCKED so bad at times. We had to be outside ALLLLLLL DAYYYYYYY Saturday fueling all our machines because we've been driving them around and they're all about bone-dry, oh and did I mention we had 13 to fill? We only had twenty 5 gallon jugs and these machines have 50 gallon fuel tanks.. so that's what, 650 gallons or so? The wind was horrible and I was wearing 5 layers of clothes and still froze my bootie off. In Monclova it was a good 2 degrees outside and the wind chill made it like, -20. I got baaaad windburn on my face and hands and snow-sun damage to my eyeballs but it heals so I'll survive, I was just a retard and forgot to bring my sunglasses when the sun was reflecting off the snow like crazy. I just have to wear sunglasses for about 2 or 3 days until the bright lights don't make my eyes water and burn anymore. We did get to go back and forth to the gas station to refill on diesel in one of the humvees and that's always a fun time cause everybody always stares at us all decked out in Army gear and driving a humvee.. lol
Sunday we had a lot of classwork to do and we (of course) had to go over things like "how to evaluate a casualty" and doing a 9 line MedEvac and then we got the whole "if you haven't been deployed yet, you will be" speech and I was like ohhh, not me suckers. Well, not at least for 10 more months anyways, and who knows, maybe the war will be somewhat over by then.
